L. George Bruce Jr.

Age 59 of Tompkins Township passed away June 29, 2020 at home surrounded by family.   George was born in Jackson, Michigan on April 14,1961. He is the son of Shirley (Sodt) Bruce & the late Leston George Bruce Sr (Sandra). He attended Northwest School District. He worked as a mason, was the Co-owner of Mud and Nails and D & B Construction. He enjoyed playing his guitars with his son's and friend's, camping & traveling with family.

He is survived by his wife Cathy (LaGow) of 39 years. Three children: Leston George Bruce III (Roxanne), Johnathan Bruce  (Deanna Zimmerman), Sommerlind Bruce  (Drew Clark). Six grandchildren: Thomas, James, Christopher, Cassidee, Mason & Marlie. Three sisters: Anna (Jason) Hall, Tracey (Trevor) Smith, Kristina (Mark) Lorencen. Three brothers: Joseph Zaborowski, Tony (Janell) Zaborowski, the late Andrew (Leeann) Bruce, several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his father Leston George Bruce Sr. And his brother Andrew Bruce.

Cremation has taken place.   A memorial service celebrating George's life will take place at The Stewart Property Pavilion: 10138 Tompkins Road. Rives Junction, MI 49277, July 18th at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers a contributions may be made to Cathy Bruce.
