Kristin Irene Kubish

Kristin Irene Kubish entered eternal life surrounded by her family and friends Saturday December 23rd, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Steven Kubish, children Zachery, Abigail, and Jacob Kubish, parents John and Patricia Ziemba, siblings Steven (Renee) Ziemba, Kathryn (Joe) Comar, and Jay (Melissa) Ziemba, father and mother in-laws Robert and Elizabeth Kubish, sisters-in-law Jessica (Pete) Redovich, Theresa (Andy) Smith, and brother-in-law Andy (Kristine) Kubish, nieces Hillary, Genevieve, Adeline, Jacqueline, Natalie, Lauren, Sydnie, Shelby, Madisyn, Morgan, and nephews George, Andrew, Louis, Delbert, and Henry, as well many relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Frank (Irene) Lozier, paternal grandparents John (Genevieve) Ziemba, nieces Brooke and Taylor, and nephew Brett, and her very special aunt Sophie Lazarowicz.

Kristin was a graduate of Northwest High School. She received an associates degree from Ferris State University. She then worked briefly before becoming a stay at home mother. Her hobbies included golfing, playing basketball, playing with her dog, Anna, walking, and watching golf, as well as her Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Michigan State Spartans.

She loved watching her children succeed in their activities, be it soccer, basketball, cross country, track, band, etc. She loved watching her kids' activities, and being present in their lives.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Western High School - Community Arts Center, 1400 South Dearing Road, Parma, Michigan  49269 at 12:00 Noon.  Deacon Matt Shannon will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends before the service on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like a donation to be made to either the Western Soccer Club, 9781 County Farm Road, Parma, Michigan 49269 or the Western Runner's Club, 1400 South Dearing Road, Spring Arbor, Michigan 49283.
