Kathryn Mae "Katie" Marienfeld
passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Matthias "Matt" ; her parents Florence and Albert Bouchard; brothers, Clarence, John T., Robert, Donald and Harry; sisters, Doris and Margie.
Katie is survived by sons, William (Jill) and Patrick (Pauline); grandchildren, Robert, Heather, Christina, Lori, Jason and Amy; great grandchildren, Matthias, Tony, Chance and Jacob; sisters, Margaret and Shirley and brother, Charles.
Katie was a very loving mother and grandmother who adored spending time with her family and friends. She was an excellent ice figure skater, winning her "Snow Queen" of the U.P. in her younger years. She had a very long and fulfilling life. She will be sadly missed by all.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, August 14 from 5–7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
