VESSEY, KAREN S. —
Karen departed her earthly life for her Heavenly home on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Allegiance Health after a short illness, surrounded by her family. Karen was born on September 7, 1946 in Lansing, MI, the third daughter of Henry and Genieve Marczynski, who have both preceded her in death. Karen attended St. Casimir Grade School in Lansing, MI and graduated from Everett High School, also in Lansing, in 1964. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dianne (Tom) Chamberlain. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Harry Dean Vessey. She is also survived by her two sisters, Gloria Walker and Judy (Don) Stotlemeyer; brother, Robert (Beth) Marczynski; three stepsons; one
stepdaughter; three stepgranddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. Several nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.
According to Karen's wishes, she has been cremated. A memorial service and entombment will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1425 Seymour Road, Jackson, MI. The Reverend Robert Pienta officiating.
Donations in Karen's name may be made to ALS, or Alzheimer's Association.
