Karen Wave Elliott (Friedrich)
Age 75, died on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Evergreen Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, Michigan. She was a resident of Jackson, Michigan for over twenty years. Karen was born on May 13, 1942 of L. Wave (Yetter) Friedrich and Russell John Friedrich of Havana, Illinois and has two siblings, Colleen Wallace-Wolters and Keith (Cindy) Friedrich of Havana, Illinois. Karen graduated from Havana High School in 1959 and was married to Gerald Lewis Dennison (d.) in 1962. She has two daughters, Sondra Dennison (Kevin Beatty) of Indiana, Pennsylvania and Sheryl Coleman (Steve Kingsley) of Portage, Michigan, as well as three nieces and two nephews. She leaves behind two beloved grandchildren, Patrick Coleman, who is a student at Western Michigan University and Gabrielle Coleman who studies at Grand Valley State University.
Karen married Michael D. Elliott (d.) of Jackson, MI in 1985. In doing so, she became stepmother to his seven children, all of whom graduated high school in Jackson, MI. The six of whom survive live across the country. Karen was employed for most of her life in various careers, but by far her favorite was running a daycare, "KDs kids", in Jackson, Michigan. She had great affection for the youngest among us and touched many lives.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Desnoyer Funeral Home on 204 N. Blackstone in Jackson, Michigan. Services will held be on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason, MI.
