Of Jackson passed away surrounded by her loving family by after a long battle with breast cancer on Thursday, September 10, 2020 age 42 years. Survived by her husband, Dexter Evans; three children, Devin Cross, A'shari'a Evans, and Dexter Evans Jr.; sister, Christine Kreuer; nieces and nephews, Ayla Gore, Zackary Gore, Jacob Gore, Sydney Gore, and Abigayle Jabkiewicz. She loved her Mississippi family spending all day sitting and talking to Mississippi Granny (Mary Evans). She adores her sister-in-law, Susan Evans; brothers-in-law, Keith Evans, Lamar Allison, Cleveland Allison, and Morris Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Mary Kreuer.

Kara was a kind and loving Mother, Sister, and Aunt. We could not have asked for a more wonderful person. She brought harm to no one, was generous with her time and attention, and was a loyal friend. Family was very important to her. She loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews and supported them dearly. Her favorite places to visit were Mackinac and Mississippi with family.

Kara graduated from Jackson High School and went on to get Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration at University of Phoenix, Master of Science/Administration of Justice and Security at University of Phoenix. She loved working with children where, in child care, she worked at DaVinci primary where co-workers became her family. Kara loved her job and kiddos and even while going to treatments she never wanted to miss a day of work.

Her time on earth was too short and she will be greatly missed. She found peace and comfort in her Lord and Savior. We would like to thank family, friends, and co-workers for their prayers, help, and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will at 9:30 to 10:30 followed by a celebration of her life at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Rev. Richard Eberle, O.S.F.S. will officiate at the funeral service.

Graveside burial will be held at St. John's Cemetery on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 9:00 AM.
