Hemry (Fischer), Judith M. "Judy"
Age 80, went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2022 with her family at her side. Judith is survived by her loving husband Larry of seven years and her four children Martin Hemry, Kellie Hemry, Stacy (Ron) Gould, and Christine (Shannon) Hemry; six beloved grandchildren Andrew and Chelsea Hemry, Tyler (Courtney) and Ellie Schiller, and Karlie and Ryan Gould; several nieces and nephews; her special Brasilian family Afonso and Tania, Patricia, Tiago and Felipe Arnhold; and lifelong friends Aloha Townsend and Jane Stoneburner. Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty years Terry Hemry, her parents Lionel and Ida Fischer and her brother Richard Fischer.
After graduating from Jackson High School in 1960, Judy worked at L.H. Field Company for many years, and later retired from the Jackson County Health Department after more than twenty years of service. Judy was involved in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for several years and enjoyed regular luncheons with the ladies. Judy loved flowers of all kinds, watching and collecting hummingbirds. Above all, spending time with family and friends was her greatest joy.
A celebration of her life will take place on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 North Blackstone, Jackson, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Michael Mason officiating. Graveside interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, August 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
In her honor, we welcome flowers. Donations may be made in her honor to the Henry Ford Jackson Hospice Home.
