Gennety, Judith Ann

Passed away under the loving care of her family and the Detroit Medical Center Hospice on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the age of 79 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David G. Gennety; infant son, James; and brother, Donald (Eleanor) Sussex. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Fiona) and Michael (Tiffany); one granddaughter, Allesandra; and several nieces and nephews.

Judy received her Nursing Degree from Mercy Hospital in Jackson and then retired after 30 years of service from Foote Hospital. She was an avid card and bingo player and loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Gennety is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2022 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Pienta will be the celebrant. Private interment will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.

Contributions to the Alzheimer's Association in Judy's memory would be appreciated.
