Lowery (Olds), Joyce Joan
Of Jackson, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She was born on March 28, 1936 to Cornell Lee and Alta Leah (Lytle) Marx. She is survived by her children Michael A. (Christina) Olds, Timothy L. ( Melissa) Olds and Brian D. Olds; step daughter Felicia, 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, two sisters: Shirley (John) Rowdon and Diane LaRock; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Richard Lee Marx; daughters: Christine Marie Parsons and Karen Ann Overly; former husbands: Michael Jesse Olds and Herbert Lowery, and very special friend Larry Whiting. Joyce graduated from St. John's High School and attended Jackson Business Institute. She was employed at Sparton Electronics, Diecast Corporation, and Len Industries. She enjoyed Bingo, bowling, gardening, family time, and occasional trips to casinos.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. James Shaver officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
