LANGLOIS, JOSEPH W.

Of Jackson passed away under the loving care of his family, Great Lakes Hospice, and the staff at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 one day after his 89th birthday. He is survived by three sisters, Shirley Tyson, Beverly Donahue and Rosemary (Jack) Cogan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Langlois (Ball), his parents, and his sisters, Marion Sylvester and June Peterson.

Joseph attended school at Quaker Town Country School and Springport High School and lived on a farm in Devereaux. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving in Battery D 113th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. Joseph was an avid collector of antiques and guns. He had worked at Quick Industries and was the owner of Maple Dale Nursery and Springport Lawn & Garden. Mr. Langlois is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.
