Duncan, Joseph G. "Joe"
of Jackson, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 69 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper G. Duncan; his mother, Rosemond L.; his sister, Onalee Hodges and his brother, Leonard Trumble. He is survived by his sister, Eloise Isaac; his brother, James G. Duncan; four nieces; three nephews; a multitude of grand nieces and grandnephews; and many cousins in Michigan and Mississippi.
Joe graduated from Vandercook Lake High School in 1964. He started his working life at Kelsey Hayes, was temporarily unemployed and then began his "career" as a bartender at Mitch's Bar, then moved on to Summit Lanes and graduated from the Bone Island Grill in 2015. Joe met and made many friends during his career and life. He was a lifelong supporter and fan of VCL sports. Joe also loved softball and golf.
Joe has been cremated and no funeral services are planned. Any donations made in Joe's memory may be made to the VCL Athletic Fund.
