Joseph "Joe" E. Judge

Joseph "Joe" E. Judge passed away peacefully at Jackson County Medical Care Facility on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Joe was proceeded in death by his parents Marie C.(Courtney) and Walter E. Judge and his son Timothy F. Judge.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Mary (Betty) Judge (Rooney); two daughters Karen Judge and Kelley Judge ; daughter in law Dawn Judge ; three granddaughters Rebecca Porras (Alex), Erin Judge and Allison Judge ; two great granddaughters Aria and Mirabel; sisters R'Loa Rodgers and Nina Georgopolis (John) ; brother James Judge ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was born in Jackson Michigan where he resided for his entire life. He worked at Aeroquip for 29 years until he retired in 1992. Prior to getting married, he was a member of the Thunderbolt Motorcycle Club and spent several years racing and traveling throughout the United States and Canada on his motorcycles.

Throughout Joe's life he had many things that brought him joy – bowling and golf until his banged up back and knees from motorcycle incidents side lined him ; collecting automotive signs and clocks that filled every square inch of the walls of his two-car garage ; playing his own personal slot machine in the back room ; going to casinos and playing slot machines ; spending time with his granddaughters and great granddaughters ; eating coney dogs from Virginia Coney Island ; eating cashews ; after retirement going to Dunkin Donuts every morning to visit with his buddies ; scratch off lottery tickets ; and after moving to Jackson County Medical Care facility (JCMCF) in 2016 playing bingo, playing euchre and participating in the many other activities offered at JCMCF with his resident friends.

The Care Partners at JCMCF took excellent care of Joe and were family to him during his six years as a resident.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Tyler Arens officiating, followed by a luncheon at Gene Davis & Sons Catering and Banquet Center.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 6:00PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery the week of January 23.
