Chmiel, Joseph Michael

Of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at home at the age of 64 years.

He is survived by wife, Sharon; son, Michael Chmiel; and daughter, Angie Sundermann. Preceded in death by son, Derek Meek. He is also survived by; 13 grandchildren; sister Christina (James) Hawkins. Preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Edward Chmiel and parents, Edward and Virga.

Joe was partners with his longtime friend James Oliver at Auto Hobby Shop for 35 plus years. Joe had a love for hunting, fishing with his grandkids and having cookouts for his family.

A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:30 PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Father Tim Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
