SPENCER, JOHN D.

Of Jackson passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 87 years. Survived by his wife of 50 years Maxine. Three sons; John D. (Donna) Spencer II, Peter (Kelly) Spencer and Paul (Andrea) Spencer. Eight grandchildren; John D. III, Chelsea, Michael, Sarah, Benjamin, Emily, Christopher and Elizabeth. One sister, Jane Georgopoulos. Several nieces and nephews including dear nephew John Georgopoulos. Preceded in death by five brothers and sisters; Edward, Herbert, Bill, Mary Ann and Elinor. He was a United States Marine Veteran of WWII. John graduated from Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University. He married Maxine on June 11, 1960. John retired from Northwest Schools as an Educator after many years of service. According to his wishes Mr. Spencer has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Rev. James Shaver officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Lumen Christi High School or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.
