Skora, John S.
Of Leoni Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Furgason; one grandson, John (Lasley) Furgason; one granddaughter, Vicky Huffine Smith; great grandchildren, Tara (Kenny) Brown, Rachel and Logan Furgason, Sandy Huffine; and his special friend, Margaret Miller. John was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine; daughter, Sandra; grandson, Bryan; granddaughter, Dawn; two brothers, Adam and Joe Skora; two sisters, Genevieve Socha and Sarah Sierminski. John retired from Wyman-Gordon after 39 years of service. He enjoyed euchre, fishing and rabbit hunting. A special thanks to Great Lakes Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM. The family will also receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM with Father Andrew Dunne O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment will take place at Maxon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Michigan Center Nutrition Center would be appreciated.
