"THE ROOK" —
Of Horton, passed away suddenly September 1, 2009, at the age of 52. John was born on May 22, 1957 in Jackson, MI to Palmer and Marguerite Stone. John is survived by his mother, Marguerite; his soulmate and wife, Autumn; and their four children, sons, T.J., John Jr. (Betsy), Matthew; daughter, Kari; two grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan. Also surviving are three sisters, Sherry (Jim) Mapes, Alena (Gary) McCrum, Dorene (Chuck) Parylak; two brothers, Timothy (Jenny), Robert (Melissa) Stone. Leaving behind numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Palmer, on November 8, 2008. John worked at Miller Tool and Die for over 20 years where he made many friends. John was known for his hard work, dedication, and loyalty not only to his family but also his work. John loved spending time with his family and thought the world of his grandchildren. He always put everyone else's needs before his own. John was very involved with the Hanover Horton Youth Baseball Association as president and a coach. He also was a Cub Scout leader. We will never forget the beautiful memories that John has brought us. According to his wishes John has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 711 N. Francis Street. The Rev. James Shaver officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the needs and wishes of the family would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends at St. John Parish Center (just south of the Church) on Monday, September 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday, September 8 from 11 a.m until the time of the Funeral Mass.
