Romanowski, John "Jay"

Of Jackson, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 12, 2025 at the age of 75 years.  He is survived by his two daughters, Jade (David) Beard and Carly (Stuart) Tenniswood; five granddaughters, Ella, Georgia, Nina, Lake, and Mara; siblings, Suzanne (Jerry) Fitzpatrick, Margaret Walicki, and Joseph Romanowski; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; mother, Stella; father, Frank; and brothers, Michael and Bud Romanowski.

Jay was a member of the Army National Guard.  He was married to the love of his life of 43 years, Bonnie.

His focus then shifted to his 5 wonderful granddaughters.  He was always present to them and many weekends were spent at "Pappa's House."  Jay started his career at Harris-McBurney and retired from Frontier.  He was an avid member of the Polish Falcons, P.L.A.V. and the PNA and was very proud of his Polish heritage.

According to Jay's wishes, cremation has taken place.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel with Father Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Falcon's Farewell at 6:00 PM.
