Laughlin, John Louis III

of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of his family and the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home at the age of 79 years. Preceded in death by his by his wife of 57 years, Pamela A. Laughlin (Hetherwick).

Survived by his three children, Kim (Mike) Comstock, Michelle Massnick, and John (Shellie) Laughlin IV; six grandchildren, Hannah (James), Katie (Austin), Joe, Sam, John V, and Alison; one great-granddaughter, Remi; brother, David (Fran); sister, Judy (Tom) Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John retired from Kmart after over 45 years of service. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, woodworking, long walks (sometimes backwards), beloved cat, Sunny, and drinking coffee at McDonald's with his friends.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary's Church on Saturday, October 1 from 9:00-10:00 AM.

Instead of sending flowers, contributions to St. Mary's Church would be appreciated.
