John "Grandpa John" G. Luck

LUCK, JOHN G. "GRANDPA JOHN"

Of Pleasant Lake passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 31, 2013 age 86 years. Survived by two daughters, Victoria (Michael) Muterspaugh and Sandra Byrd. Grandchildren; Sharon, Mark, David, Gail, Trish, Betty, Paula, Jerry, Tracy, Jeff, Chris,Lori, Jenifer, JoAnne, John, Duane, Doug and Mickey. Twenty eight great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, sister Marie Ottney, son in law Marcus Stanfield, sister in law Marion Luck, nephew Michael Luck and long time companion, Lois Burke. Preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Beatrice Mae Luck, son William H. Luck, two daughters, Marsha K. Feazel and Bonnie J. Stanfield, five brothers and one sister.

John served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from the Jackson Area Career Center as an Industrial Arts Teacher. His greatest love was farming, he enjoyed auctioning and was an avid collector. He never met a stranger, and loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Luck is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. According to his wishes cremation will follow the funeral service.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
