Adams, John Paul "Jack"
Born July 31, 1929 passed away surrounded by his loving family February 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur J. Adams, Winifred C. Adams, brother Dr. Arthur J. Adams, sister Elizabeth DeRose. He is survived by a sister in law Marjorie B. Adams, nieces and nephews Rad (Gayle) DeRose, Marti Braga, Rick (Lanette) DeRose, Paul Adams, Michael Murillo, John (Jane) Adams, and Susan (Michael) Allan. He is also survived by several Great nieces and nephews. Each survivor brought him great joy.
Jack was a graduate of Jackson High School and a devoted University of Michigan Alumni. Jack proudly received an Undergraduate and Graduate degree from the University in Business Administration.
He served in the United States Navy. He was a loyal businessman to Merrill Lynch of Southfield. Jack was an avid Squash player at Birmingham Athletic Club. He enjoyed many cultural activities in the Detroit area. Jack was a very humble man who gave to his Community, University, and Parish in many quiet ways. He was a devout Catholic who spread his Faith by understanding the Mercy of others. Jack had a gift of humor and a sense of wisdom that will be passed to generations.
The family would like to give special thanks to Trellis Gardens Memory Care Unit for tending to Jack's needs.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 13 at 1:30 PM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. Private interment St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday from 12:30-1:30 PM.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church or Allegiance Hospice House.
