John George Eisele, age 75, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. John left behind a legacy of four children and thirteen grandchildren, whom he often spoke of with great admiration and pride: Chad (wife Tammy) and their children Jacob, Caite, and Andrew; Allie and her daughters Mandy and Paige; Kara (husband Rob) and their children Annie, Bobby, and Jack; Krista (husband Jeremy) with their children Finley, Teddy, Gus, Shaw, and Connor. They will all remember his love of life and his Cajun shrimp. John proudly raised his family with his adored high school sweetheart Sharon ("Pixie"), his wife of 53 years and the love of his life.

John was born on October 20,1948 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Charles and Marion Eisele, and was the oldest sibling to Charley, Christine, and Rick. He worked his way up from employment as a "soda jerk" in Michigan, to earning an MBA from Eastern Michigan University, to the managing director of real estate equity portfolio/asset management at CIGNA Insurance while residing in Simsbury, CT. John was a proud veteran, serving as a Navy signalman on the USS Bausell during the Vietnam war. John and Sharon later enjoyed a well-deserved beach and golf retirement in Wilmington, NC, where their large family often gathered to eat and play.

John was an enthusiast of many things, including skillful woodworking, dancing, bicycling, skiing, golfing with friends, martinis, and odd numbers. He was a masterful chef and grill ninja. John was known for being generous with his encouragement and maverick philosophy. But he will best be remembered as being a loyal friend and loving relative. John wanted everyone to be good to themselves and others, think logically, live big, and love with an open heart.

In honor of John, please consider donations to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, whom the family thanks for their support and guidance. You may also contribute to the Assistance League of Greater Wilmington. With respect to John's courageous battle, please consider the importance of cancer research.

John's family will receive friends and relatives on Monday morning, April 22 from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 10:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.  The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church Facebook Page ( https://queenschurch.com/livestream/ ).
