Dalton, John R.

of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021 age 77. He is survived by two children, Angela (Scott) Morton and Andrew (Amy) Dalton; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Curtis, Kirsten Curtis, Claire Lewis, Nicholas Lewis, Julia Lewis; and Annabelle Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John C. "Chris" Dalton and four sisters.

He worked for many years at L.H. Field and more recently at the Auto Zone in Jackson. John was charitable and giving and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His neighbors were his second family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Robert Pienta officiating.  The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church's Facebook Page.  A private interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
