Crowley, John W.
Passed away under the loving care of his family on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his children Danny, Kathy (Jeff) Foster, Bill, Mary Jo (Jon) Sutliff, Susie, Carolyn (Jeff) Graydon, Tim (Melissa) Crowley; grandchildren Courtney, Morgan (Sean), Megan (Josh), Coley, Mallory, Mackenna, Kate, Timmy, Ryan, Kellen, Johnny; great grandson, Declan; step-grandchildren, Lucas (Megan), Mark (Marissa) Foster, Thomas and Tracie Sutliff; step great-grandchildren, Maddie, Mack, and Parker Foster and Hailey and Tatum Sutliff; brothers and sisters, Pat (Joan), Denny, Mike, and Tom (Peggy); in-laws; Al (Judy) Lefere, Carole (Bill) Cavanaugh, Tom (Anne) Lefere, and Francie (Pat) Richardson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Suzanne Marie; parents, Wall and Florence (Daly); sister, Jill; sister-in-law, Mary; brother-in-law, Jerry; nephew, Chris; and mother and father in law, Albert and Frances Lefere.
John grew up on State Street where he made many life long friends. He was 1958 graduate of St. John's High School and attended University of Denver on a football scholarship. He was a past Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 609. John retired from Tompkins Johnson Aeroquip and enjoyed attending the monthly retiree luncheons. He was an avid supporter of Lumen Christi, enjoyed golfing at the Cascades, and was devoted to his Catholic faith.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:30 PM. The family will also receive friends before the Mass on Thursday at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jackson Catholic Schools would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Manor and the Elara Caring for the wonderful care they provided to John.
