Anderson, John W.

Age 91, died on August 22, 2019. John was born in Jackson, Michigan on December 16, 1927. Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Warren B. and Helen E. Anderson; sister, Barbara Ann (Robert) Hones; infant brother, William Joseph; and special friend, Edna Fairbanks. Survived by his nephews, Frank (Josephine), Edward (Linda), and Philip (Martha) Hones all of Clarklake; niece, Mary (Ronald) Burr of Brighton; and good friend, Richard Silcher.

John was a graduate of St. Mary Star of the Sea High School class of 1946. He was a graduate of Michigan State University class of 1953 and received a B.A. in advertising. John was employed as a commercial artist and advertising sales working in Chicago and Cleveland. He was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish and was a member of the Michigan National Guard. John loved people, investing, classic cars, and time at Clark Lake.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday prior to the Mass from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Queen's Church.
