Joan L. "Jo" Dumbauld (Muck)

Joan L. “Jo” Dumbauld (Muck) of Jackson, passed away at home under the loving care of her husband and family on Friday, August 14, 2026 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, James; two daughters, Connie (Martin) Lefere and Tina Comperchio; son, Randy Dumbauld; grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Collin, Brenna, James, Michael, Katelyn, Makayla, and Kyra; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Tristin, Kendall, Ender, and Isaac; brother, Larry Muck (Marilyn); sisters-in-law: Sandy Smalley and Betty Dumbauld; and special friend Jackie Daly. She was preceded by her parent, Laurence and Cecilia Muck; her sister, Gloria (Gerald) Smith; brothers-in-law, Max Dumbauld, Dean Dumbauld, and Dennis Smalley and sister-in-law, Donna (George) Shong.

Joan retired from Jackson Public Schools, where she worked as a Special Education Aide at Bennett School. She loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family and friends.

Joan was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1:00 PM with Father Randy Koenigsknecht officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM.
