Sisk, Jerry D.

of Vandercook Lake, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Jerry was born on June 15, 1937 to Sevaah Sisk and Virgie Phipps Rhoades. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Harrell Sisk; four children, Daniel (Margie) Sisk, Deborah Lambdin, Monica (Oscar) Garza and Thomas (Joanna) Sisk; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Dorothy Radabaugh and brother, Jack Sisk.

Jerry worked at Jackson Drop Forge for 30 years, was longtime President of UAW Local 62 and was an Army Veteran. He was also still active on the Board of Directors of American 1 Credit Union. After retiring, Jerry found great joy driving the school bus for Vandercook Lake, Michigan Center and Lumen Christi.

Jerry had a big heart for his four-legged friends, and will be greeted by Bear, Charlie, Misha and Daisy, all begging at his feet for cookie treats.

Jerry is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Thursday, August 20 at 1:00 PM with Father James Shaver officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19 from 2–4 and 6–8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cascades Humane Society or Lumen Christi High School.
