PERU, JERRY CLINTON

Of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2018. Jerry was born on August 6, 1946 to Martha G. Peru and Bruce H. Peru in Flint, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Carroll Y. Peru; his daughter, Kira E. (Devin Riddering) Oliver-Riddering; his grandkids, Tyler W. (Amber Meininger) Peru, Briana M. (Devin Cheney) Peru, Sophia L. Peru, Sierra Riddering, Harlee Oliver, and Journey Riddering; and his dog, Little Louie. He is preceded in death by both parents; his brother, Bruce Peru; daughter, Dolly H. Peru; and his son, Jerry W. Peru.

Jerry was a loving and proud husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jerry graduated from Eastern Michigan University, then served as First Lieutenant in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Jerry retired after dedicating 36 years to AAA Insurance. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing with his dog, enjoying home cooked meals, playing the piano, helping others, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 PM.
