SOLTIS, JEAN J.
Of Jackson passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Survived by her husband of 51 years Edward J. Soltis. Six children; Tim (Karen) Soltis , Andy (Melissa) Soltis, Suellen (Nelson) Gonyaw, Angie Soltis, Gina (Tim) Kendell and Tony Soltis. Grandchildren; Sarah, Tarah, Samantha, Tiffany, Drew, Kody, Katrina, Danielle, Joni and Mary. One great grandson; Brody. Two brothers; Robert and Arthur Gale. Jean received her Masters Degree from Michigan State University and retired from a career of teaching. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent dePaul and for the State Employees Retirement Association. She was a active member of the Jackson Area Landlords Association and fulfilled her dream of traveling throughout Europe. Mrs. Soltis is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Friday 1:30 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 2:00 PM. Interment St. John's Cemetery. The Rev. Father James Shaver officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Vigil Service Thursday 6 PM.
