RIEDE, JEAN ELAINE

of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Allegiance Hospice Home at the age of 68 years. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Stephen D; three children, Elizabeth (Alan) Michaels, Stephen C. (Michelle) Riede, Amy (Sean) Brafford; grandchildren, Daniel, Aaron, Zachary, John Michaels, Connor Riede, Brenden & Brody Brafford; mother, Jessie Huff; twin sister, Jane Hopkins; sister, Roberta (Keith) Bisel; brother, Rupert (Linda) Huff Jr.; one aunt; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Rupert Huff Sr.

Jean was a long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and family get togethers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM. The family will also receive friends on Monday from 10-10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM with Father Robert Pienta as the celebrant. A private interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

A special "Thank You" to the nurses & staff at the Allegiance Hospice Home for the wonderful care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John Catholic Church or the Allegiance Hospice Home would be appreciated.
