Janice (Jan) Bollman

A longtime resident of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully February 14th, 2024 at the age of 94 at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.

Janice is survived by her sister, Kathleen Wertz of Warren, Ohio, daughters Terry Woodyard (John) of Fowler, Ohio, Colleen Jackson of Batesville, Arkansas and son Kevin Fink (Annette) of Sylvania, Ohio.   Grandchildren, Kelsey Fink, Mallory Flynn (Damien), Rory Fink of Sylvania, Ohio. Melinda Murphy (Chris) of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Larry Jackson (Hillary) of Dallas, Texas, Heather Clark (Jacob) of Batesville, Arkansas, Scott Woodyard (Holly) and Mark Woodyard (Elon) of Fowler, Ohio; and has 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Little and Hiram James Gilbert, brothers Rollin Gilbert, Phillip Gilbert, and great granddaughter Julia Woodyard and Rex Chamberlain

Janice was born in Warren City Hospital on July 31, 1929. She was part of the Bristolville High School graduating class of 1947 in Bristoville, Ohio. Jan married after graduating and began her family in West Farmington, Ohio before moving to Jackson, Michigan where she was employed by and retired from Sears & Robuck followed by volunteer work at Foote Hospital.  Jan was a longtime  member of Calvary United Methodist Church, American Business Womens Association, Red Hatters, Moose Lodge and FOE Eagles.

Jan was an avid sports fan as well as an active participant. She loved playing competitive league golf into her 80's, including the Turf Diggers, as well as bowling leagues. She also enjoyed cribbage, euchre, and any other game she could win at.  Jan loved indoor and outdoor gardening as well as applying her special system on slot machines during casino trips.

Jan's family would like to thank Kevin, Lee, Bobby and the rest of the Arbor North family for the kind and compassionate support they provide.
