WHEATON (ROONEY), JANET E.
Widow of William, of Jackson passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011 age 77 years. Survived by her children; William Jr. (Teresa), Mary Lou, Rose Ann (David) Merrill, Deborah and Sheryl. 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Brother Tom Rooney and Sisters, Mary Ellen Smith and Mary (Betty) Judge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Francis Rooney; brother Leo Rooney and sister, Theresa Piper and two grandchildren. Janet graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1953, was an avid bingo player and garage saleaholic. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Wheaton is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 1:00 PM. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Father James Shaver will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until 12:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the needs and wishes of the family would be appreciated.
