Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and husband Hugh of 46 years. Janet was born on May 3, 1944 in Jackson, Michigan to Leo and Rosemary Golombek. She graduated from St. Johns High School and Jackson Business University. On September 26, 1964 she married the love of her life, Hugh. They had four children; son Michael (Tina), daughter Theresa (Jeff) Nagel, daughter Julie (John) Harrell, and daughter Karen (Keith) Zastrow. Four grandchildren; Jacob Stephens, Kayla Harrell, Kyle Harrell, and Karlie Harrell. Brother Rich (Carol) Golombek. Brother in law Bill (Judy) Stephens, Brother in law Rev. Jim (Sharon) Stephens. Sister in laws Katherine Crisp, Joann (Don) Storey. Survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Leo and Rosemary Golombek, her grandparents Joseph and Anna Golombek, and George and Lillian Sarata. Her greatest accomplishments were her marriage, her children, and her grandchildren that she loved dearly.

Mrs. Stephens is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a brief Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Cecilio Reyna will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions for her grandchildren's Catholic education would very much be appreciated.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 8 PM. Vigil Service will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM.
