Jimmy was born on February 17, 1956 and from the start gave his parents a run for their money. He was a Journeyman Roofer, had an associate degree in CAD drafting, a CDL, a safety certificate for his all-time favorite job, driving a bus at Lumen Christi. Jimmy loved being a Grampy and spending time with his grandkids. His mischievous antics encouraged them to embrace their inner troublemaker, ensuring the adventures and laughter live on.
Being anywhere outside was where he loved to be. He hunted, fished, loved boating, hiking and camping. Jim was a huge sports fan. He enjoyed running the chains on the side line and sitting in the penalty box at Lumen games. He was a diehard Lions fan throughout his life. He made many memories with family and friends in his garage (The Lions Den) where they gathered on Sundays with hopes of a Super Bowl. His unwavering passion for the Honolulu Blue was infectious and will be remembered enthusiastically. He and his partner in crime, Marty Lefere, made sure we all knew the Lions fight song and sung it proudly at every touchdown.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Chas Canoy and Deacon Mike McCormick officiating.
