Of Springport passed away at the age of 59 on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. He was born January 22, 1951 in Battle Creek MI, the son of
James and Donna Banister. Sealed eternally to Jackie Allred on December 15, 1972. His family always came first in his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, metal detecting, and spending time at the beach in Florida. He served in many church positions. The most recent service as being Bishop of the Latter Day Saint (Mormon) church in the Jackson area. He will be extremely missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years,
Jackie Banister; his five children, Kirk, Kerri, Amy, Ryan, and Kent; seven and one half
grandchildren; and brother, Mike Banister; and sister, Judy Landry. Preceded in death by his brother, Randy Banister; and parents. The visitation will be held Sunday May 23, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Desnoyer Funeral Home and at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3019 W. Morrell St. Jackson, Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held Monday May 24, 2010
at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
