Murphy, James Lloyd "Jim"

Of Jackson, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 4, 2024 at his home under the loving care of his family at the age of 81 years.  He is survived by his son, Brent (Shannon) Murphy; grandchildren, Emily, Connor, Riley, Brady, Jourdon, and Nikalus; brothers and sisters, Rosemary Day, Cindy (Don) Stosick, Rick (Michelle) Murphy, and Howard (Maggie) Murphy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including special cousins, Craig and Carol Adams.    He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Anne; brother, John; and brother-in-law, Ed Day.

Jim was a Veteran of the United States Army, a longtime business owner, member of the Knights of Columbus, and a devout Catholic who could always be found in church praying.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Tim Nelson officiating.  Interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary's Church on Friday, November 8 from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM.

In lieu of sending flowers, contributions to St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, St. Vincent dePaul Society, or Lumen Christi Catholic School would be appreciated.
