James S. "Jim" Scoggins

Of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the age of 58 years. He is survived by his soulmate Karen M . Trudgen; mother, Delores Scoggins; sister Victoria Martin; several nephews; Karen's children, Keegan, Kourtney and Mara Trudgen; best friends, Darrel Petrie and Ray Cantu. He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Scoggins; and his beloved dog, Oreo.

He was employed for 37 years at AT&T as an inspector where he was well liked and respected by his peers. He was an avid pool player, golfer and loved MSU and Alabama football.

Jim is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7 from 2-4 PM, followed by a service honoring his life at 4 PM with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. Cremation to follow the funeral service.

Instead of flowers, contributions to the Cascade Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
