Of Jackson passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 age 78 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Patricia, five children; Christie (Kevin) Hardcastle, James P. (Donna) Hinkle, Michelle (Kenneth) Gallant, Andrew (Angela) Hinkle and Joseph (Webster) Hinkle. Grandchildren; Corey and Melissa Hardcastle, Jason, Patrick, Eric and Anna Hinkle, Ken, Sean, Jennifer and Katie Gallant, Rusty Hinkle, Keagan and Kennedy Hinkle and great grandson Frank Hinkle. Brothers and Sisters; Genevieve Vannest, Lucille (Tony) Janiak, Dorothy (Corey) Brautiguan, JoAnne (John) Sposito, Carol (Alvin) Cheesbro, Arthur (Donna) Hinkle and Norman (Barbara) Hinkle. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin grandsons, Scott and Sean Hardcastle, three sisters, Josephine Malewitz, Geraldine Young and Florence Louagie and three brothers, Robert, Donald and Richard Hinkle.

James spent 41 years working in the construction industry, enjoyed yard work, traveling up north, his Birthday Club friends but the most important thing in his life was his family.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated.
