James E. Dalton Sr. "Crow"

Of Jackson passed away at home under the loving care of his family on Sunday, August 27, 2023 age 88 years.

Survived by four children; Deborah, Mary, David and Timothy.  Son-in-law, Bert. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sharon and his children; James Jr., John Sr., Regina and Leon, their mother Janice, and his six siblings.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, avid Detroit Tiger and NASCAR fan, he loved to eat out and play the harmonica.  Jim had worked for the Jackson Water Dept.  and was the Director of Operations at Goodwill Industries.  He continued to serve his community by working at the St. Vincent dePaul Society.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and Catholic.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel.  Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery. Reverend Richard Eberle O.S.F.S. will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

The family will receive friends at St. Stan's Chapel on Friday from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers please have a Mass said for James or make a donation to the Reginia Griffus Memorial Fund through the Jackson Community Foundation.
