of Jackson passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Legacy Assisted Living Center under the loving care of her family and Allegiance Hospice at the age of 84 years. Survived by her husband William Drake of Jackson, Son and daughter-in-law: Larry (Janice) Lestyany of Springport, Daughter and son-in-law: Linda (Harold) Brown of Hector, New York, four step children and many step grand and great grandchildren. Loving foster mother to Sheila. One brother and sister-in-law: Charles R. "Dick" (Nancy) Chapin, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, William S. Lestyany.
Jacque was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, an assistant Girl Scout leader and Den mother, 4-H sewing leader, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed visiting folks that were shut ins, a deacon and loved singing in the church choir, and enjoyed cooking. She loved to travel and traveled extensively around the United States with her husband Bill.
Jacque was deeply devoted to her family. She was loving and nurturing to her children, nieces, nephews, as well as to her husband. She was a selfless and compassionate person who will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Drake is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with the Reverend James Haldane officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
