Jacquelyn Anne Idzior (Corbett), beloved wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully in her home with the love she spent a lifetime giving on December 21, 2025 at the age of 73.  She was born on December 17, 1952 in Flint, Michigan, to the late Leo and Frances Corbett (Schlee).  She graduated from Grand Blanc High School and obtained her cosmetology and cosmetologist instructor license.   She married Donald on August 17, 1974, and together they built a life in Jackson, Michigan.  She raised a strong family, teaching by example what it means to love fully.  Her home was a gathering place, her arms a refuge, and her spirt a light. She was known for dancing in the kitchen while cooking, for singing with a joy that filled the room, keeping a well-organized home, and for playing a very competitive game of scrabble with her children around the table. She loved spending time at beaches and parks in Michigan.  She had a rare gift; the ability to talk with anyone and truly listen. Whether a stranger or a lifelong friend, she made people feel seen, understood, and valued. Her devotion to God is an example. Her love for the Holy Mass was born from a prayer life developed in her early childhood. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman whose beauty shown inside and out, whose glow lifted others, and whose legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. She is survived by her husband; Donald Idzior, her seven children; Michelle (Andy) Roberts, John (Laura) Idzior, Anthony Idzior, Andrew (Diana) Idzior, Dominic Idzior, Rosemary Idzior, Maria Shior, grandchildren; Julie (Alex) Mata, Cody Idzior, Benjamin Roberts, Kate Idzior, Harrison Idzior, and great granddaughters; Melanie Mata and Sophia Mata.

A Requiem Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:30 PM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. Jeffrey Robideau officiating.  Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, December 29 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM.  The family will also receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:30 PM.

Instead of sending flowers, contributions can be made to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
