Cuiss, Jacquelyn Elaine

96, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at midnight. Jackie was born in Jackson, Michigan on December 31, 1924 to Charles and Genevieve Herendeen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Victor S. Cuiss; her brother, Charles Herendeen and grandson, Jesse D. Neely. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Cuiss and Cathleen (Robert) Hendrick; granddaughters, Amanda (Jason) Phebus, Lailah (Roderick) Lee, Victoria Beaman, Tammi Phelps, and Adrienne Phelps; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Betty Haedicke; nephew, James Pickford; and many other nephews and nieces.

Jackie loved home decorating, was an excellent cook, seamstress and wasn't afraid to take on challenging projects. She took advantage of their memberships at Arbor Hills and The Jackson Country Club and became a competitive golfer and bridge player. She loved music, dancing, adored her friends and enjoyed entertaining. In later years she took up gardening, walking and traveling the world with her husband Victor and friends, George and Donna Potter.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Father Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 8 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
