Age 92 passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Nashville TN.

Jack was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Nita Lounsbery of Garden City, MI; his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn Lounsbery (Keyes); sons Daniel M. Lounsbery and Douglas J. Lounsbery; daughters in law Gloria Lounsbery and Lisa Lounsbery and his sister, Marie Bernal.

Jack is survived by his daughter Denise Sharp (Wayne) and son Dean Lounsbery; grandchildren Dean Lounsbery Jr, Stephanie Lounsbery, James Sharp, and Nathan Sharp; great-granddaughter, Lileth Lounsbery; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Jack was born and raised in Garden City, MI.  He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  After his service, his love of cars and motors led him to the business world of industrial  trucking, where he thrived throughout his life. He was a trailblazer in fleet sales at Detroit Diesel, Mack Trucks, and Peterbilt Motors, becoming CEO/owner of Peterbilt of Nashville dealership. He later served as General Manager for heavy-duty truck dealerships in Michigan. He and his family enjoyed  living where his work took him, from Michigan to Colorado, California, and Tennessee. Jack received many acknowledgments for professional successes and assistance with charities, including the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel.

An accomplished businessman and proud serviceman, Jack will best be remembered for his love of family, friends, and faith. His incredible sense of humor could light up a room. His extreme kindness and genuine enjoyment of other's company was appreciated by many.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pienta officiating. A private interment will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
