Henderson, Jack D.
of Jackson, passed away at home under the loving care of his family and friends on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dora; six children, Tanya (A.J.) Biami, Renee A. (Charlie) Vinson, Tecla Kuhl, Sabrina (Pierre) Gendron, Michael (Tammy) Henderson, Joseph (Andrea) Henderson; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Henderson and Yvonne Wehrli. Jack was a retired, self employed insurance agent retiring from the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, eBay, and antiquing. He was an active, 50 year member of St. John Parish where he was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Vincent dePaul Society. According to his wishes, Jack has been cremated. The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 5–8 PM. A Scripture Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM followed immediately by the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Chalice Service.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, October 1 at 11:00 AM. In addition to the visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening, the family will also greet friends at the church from 10:30–11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Reverend James Shaver will be the celebrant.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Vincent dePaul Society or to St. John Catholic Church.
