Burke, Jack L. Sr.
Of Jackson, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Burke; six children, Donald (Carolyn) Burke, Jack Burke Jr., David Burke, Diane (Greg) Adams, Tina Mason, Travis Burke; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Delores) Burke; one sister, Sharon Edens; special friends, Robert and Bev Searle; one sister-in-law, Gerry Edens; one brother-in-law, Edward Rigelman; cousin, Phyllis Pittman; numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Burke; son-in-law, George Clem; one great granddaughter; one sister, Betty (Jim) Doering; two brothers, William Edens and Russell West.
Jack was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed trip to the casinos and was a jack-of-all trades and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
According to his wishes, Mr. Burke has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at 11:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Reverend Father Robert Pienta officiating. The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
