Lozier, Irene M.
of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank on May 6, 2013; Survived by four children, Patricia (John) Ziemba, John (Karen) Lozier, Jerry (Bonnie) Lozier and Dave (Michelle) Lozier; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law Sophie Lozier and Dorothy Lozier; and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was also preceded in death by three great grandchildren, sister Jane Kalbarczyk and brothers Tom and John Bush.

Irene was a Bookkeeper for several Jackson Area Businesses, was a member of the St. Joseph Holy Rosary Society and the Lamplighters Dance Club and volunteered at Foote/Allegiance Hospital for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, golfing, bowling and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lozier is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will take place on Saturday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Father James Shaver will be the celebrant at the Funeral Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 2–4 and 6–8 PM with a St. Joseph Holy Rosary Society Rosary at 3 PM and a Parish Rosary at 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the nurses and aides at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Center for their care and compassion.
