Drechnowicz, Irene Therese
of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the age of 81 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Henry. Irene is survived by four children, David (Liz) Drechnowicz, Jane Anne Drechnowicz, Mary Jo (David) Helmreich and Paul (Diane) Drechnowicz; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Danielle and Sydney Drechnowicz, Erich and Lauren Helmreich; one brother, Robert (Shirley) Kistka; two sisters, Mary Augustine and Sister Mary Joseph; special friends, Marwood and Debbie Jarriet. Irene was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 28 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Father Randall Miller will be the celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the Mass, from 9:30–10:30 AM with a Rosary Service at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
