Conklin, Irene Marie
Age 92 went to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2020 while at home under the loving care of her family. She was born on September 27, 1927 in Jackson to Julius and Anna (Trepka) Doering. She is survived by her children, Kathy Conklin, Michael (Marie) Conklin, Cindy (Chris) Kokoczka, Carol (Randy) Czubko, Aileen (Frank) Pomarico, Janice (Tom) Haynes, David (Julie) Babcock, Cammie (Rick) Girodat and Chris (Susie) Conklin, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Dale Babcock and Michael Conklin, son Terry Conklin, daughter Margaret Conklin, grandson, Michael Conklin, sisters Martha Delamater, Clara Hall, Rosie Lowden, Rita Rice and brother Donald Doering.
Irene graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1945. She was a long-time member of Queens Parish where she was a member of Guardian Angel Circle. She was also a member of the Women's Club of Jackson and Amaranth Group. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, cake decorating and most of all enjoyed any occasion that called for reason to gather with family and friends. She shared her gifts and talents as well as her faith and strength with her family who will carry them on.
Due to the corona virus outbreak, a private Funeral Mass for family only will be held. Friends are invited to watch the Funeral live streamed at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church Jackson website and Facebook on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Queens Parish would be appreciated.
