Bjorkman, Irene
of Jackson passed away peacefully at Allegiance Health on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Survived by special friends, Jeannette Lienhart, Fr. Robert Copeland, and Sue Syrjamaki; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Russ Bjorkman, parents, and her brothers and sisters.
She loved and was an active member of Queen's Church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10:30 AM with Father Robert Copeland officiating. A private interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with the Rosary Service at 7 PM. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 AM at Queen's Church.
Irene requested no flowers but a contribution to Queen's Church would be appreciated.
