Saier, Ida A.
of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Allegiance Health with her loving family by her side at the age of 98 years. She was born in Jackson on February 28, 1916. Survived by one son, Victor "Mike" Saier; two grandchildren, Wendy M. Holda and Stephen J. (Laurie) McEnroe; one great grandson, Patrick S. McEnroe; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas "Victor" Saier; daughter, Patricia A. Hawley; and nine brothers and sisters. Ida was a volunteer for many years at "Foote Hospital".
According to her wishes, Mrs. Saier has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 21, at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Chas Canoy officiating.
The family would like to thank the Jackson Friendly Home, Jackson County Medical Care Facility Unit Four, and Allegiance Hospital 6 West for their care and compassion.
Contributions to the Jackson County Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
