Hope Flores

Hope Flores Jackson, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 under the loving care of her family and the staff at Legacy Assisted Living at the age of 97 years. She is survived by her two brothers, Emmanuel Morales of Jackson and Richard (Sharon) Morales of Rochester, New York, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Rudy; parents, Francisco and Felicitas Morales; and eight brothers and sisters.

Hope was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 25, 1929, to Francisco and Felicitas Morales. Her birth name, Esperanza, is pronounced Hope in English. She was one of eleven children. In her younger years, Hope worked as a migrant worker at various farms in Mid-Michigan. Later, Hope lived in California caring for her parents. She then moved to Jackson, Michigan, and worked at Camp International as a seamstress for many years. She married Rudy Flores. They lived in their home until his death in 2023. Hope was always cooking her Mexican dishes, keeping a clean home, crocheting and sewing. She and her sister, Angie, walked at Jackson Crossing and attended exercise classes at the Booth Center. Hope was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had a deep faith.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Randy Koenigsknecht officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday, July 13 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
